Silly Pet Tricks
While the LNM Olympics are as old and storied as Yahoo GeoCities websites, the Silly Pet Tricks event is brand new this year. That’s because our official content and legal teams have finally worked out the waivers your beloved champions must sign before entering as fierce competitors. Don’t worry—a simple paw print, beak mark, or pre-recorded blink will do the trick.
In this event, raw talent is showcased through the level of silliness you can incorporate into your pet’s routine. Bonus points are always awarded for the unexpected, especially when the unexpected turns out to be really stinkin’ cute.
Rules for Fair Play
It goes without saying, but for legal reasons, we’re obligated to mention that no pets will be harmed during this event. While this is an Olympic first for us, we’ve still devised some rules to shackle you with to avoid having to deal with whiners, fines, or severe jail time.
The rules for the Silly Pet Tricks event are as follows:
- Only one person can represent each team
- You must film your pet doing something ridiculous that your peers are sure to swoon over or have a genuine belly laugh at
- You and your voice must be in the video to prove it’s your pet and all that
- Videos of trick performances must be under three minutes
- You must be technically savvy enough to send your video to the Olympic committee 24 hours before the event!
- Judges will view and judge videos one at a time!
How We Determine the Winner
Your pet (but mostly you) will be judged on their finesse, stamina, beauty, intelligence, and overall vitality. We’ll judge you on your ability to capitalize on your pet’s true talent while holding a camera.
Our panel of professional pet scrutinizers and enthusiasts will make our judgments (for our own reasons) after all videos have been played.
