Synchronized Teams-ing

We are yet again looking for LinkNow’s Best Dance Crew. Synchronized team dance has been a sacred ritual at LNM since the beginning times. As one of the original events in the LinkNow Olympiad, it is a favourite for spectators and participants alike. In case you haven’t realized already, the stakes are high.

The Event:

Your job is to select the two most talented dancers in your department to compete. Once decided, they will choreograph a synchronized dance routine for 1-5 minutes. You will be judged on the complexity of the dance, rhythm, song choice, and the ability to stay synchronized throughout the routine. Since the judges favor synchronization over all else—this will be the most important factor.

The Recent History of Synchronized Teams-ing

In recent Olympiads, there has been much controversy surrounding this hallowed event. Take the Halloween of 2021. All departments gathered on Teams to dance to Monster Mash. Some blame technology, while others blame the poor choreography, but one thing is certain: we all needed some assistance synchronizing our dances. After a year of training, we’re happy to present those with the rhythm and coordination the opportunity to redeem their departments! Take the preparation for this event seriously, and you’ll have a chance to please those who reign supreme over our fates.

Why We Still Dance in Synchronization

The most important aspect of this event is teamwork. The concept is simple, but it’s not easy to pull off. As we all know, synchronization within departments isn’t always there. Synchronized teams-ing gives you a chance to rectify that. Best of luck preparing your dance routines!
