Name That Tune! (With Devvy Dewdrops)
Name that Tune (With Devvy Dewdrops) is yet another enduring classic of the LinkNow Olympics. It’s fond memory has been etched onto the heart of anyone who’s witnessed the event.
It’s an event for all those self-proclaimed music lovers among us. Equally fun for those who just have their playlists on shuffle all day. Essentially, this event is for you if you’ve heard a few songs in your day.
One of the Enduring Classics of The LNM Olympics
This event has always been a favorite at the LinkNow Olympics due to its crowd-friendly nature. If you know songs and you’re good at guessing their titles, you’ll be ready for this event. This event will test your memory, your reaction time, and of course, your music taste. Only those with the most refined and slightly elfy musical palettes will succeed this grueling gauntlet of guessing songs.
If you thought Devvy Dewdrops wasn’t gonna give you a proper challenge, you thought wrong!
The Event:
The event is simple, but it’s not easy.
Top elf Devvy Dewdrops will be ready to bust a move on the d-floor of his elf lair. A song will start playing, and in very elf-like fashion, Devvy will start dancin’. Keep in mind, Devvy Dewdrops has the coldest moves anywhere in or outside the North Pole. You’ll have to keep your eyes on the prize to win because Devvy’s sick elf moves can be hypnotizing
The first to type out their guess and spell it correctly gets the point for the song. There will be up to 50 songs that play, which means there’s ample opportunity to win! Typos will result in no points allowed.
Whoever gets the highest number of correct guesses wins.
Note: There will be 1 bonus round.
The History of the Sport
Name that Tune has a storied history. The game originated at the North Pole as a quiz Santa would test his elves with. He’d quickly flash the toys in front of the elves, and they would have to name them correctly if they had any hope of advancing their careers in elfhood.
Since Devvy is one of the few elves on Earth chosen to interact with humans, he commemorates the famous test by bringing it to us in the form of Name that Tune.
Hint hint: Devvy Dewdrops loves Shania Twain.
Good Luck.
