Puzzle Triathlon
You probably love doing puzzles. Between crosswords, Slide puzzles, and word searches, there’s always a puzzle out there for everyone. What if we told you that we had taken this innocent and relaxing pastime and transformed it into a grueling high-stakes Olympic sport?
Are you too smart for your own good? Are you aggressively overcompetitive or a glutton for punishment? Then this Olympic adventure is for you. We’ve taken your favorite games and turned them into events fit only for the true intellectual warriors in our office.
People have loved puzzles since the dawn of Roman civilization. Even the city’s Italian name—ROMA—is an intentional anagram of the Latin word AMOR. Look through the ruins of Pompeii, and you’ll find humanity’s first-known word-square puzzle, the Sator Square. So, let’s take a trip back to the cradle of Western civilization and do some puzzles worthy of the ancient Greeks.
Rules of the Triathlon
People say triathlons are only for the truly athletic. Those people haven’t seen a LinkNow Olympic challenge before. You can become a hero in our Olympic games without leaving your desk chair. All you have to do? Follow the rules, ace your puzzles, and trash-talk your competitors on Teams. It’s that simple.
The three puzzles in this competitive triathlon are as follows:
- Jigsaw puzzle
- Word search puzzle
- Slider puzzle
Seems innocent enough, right? Wrong. This is the Olympics. If you’re competing in this triathlon, you better be in it to win it.
All ten players compete simultaneously to see who can complete the three puzzles the fastest. Post your screencaps when requested, and see who gets awarded the gold, silver, or bronze medals. It could be you, or it could be your arch-nemesis within the workplace. Play to find out—and play to win.
